Privacy Policy

Last updated 12 October 2026

The short version. ABC Learning is listed in Apple's Kids Category, which forbids third-party advertising and analytics SDKs, and this app carries no third-party SDK of any kind. There are no accounts, no ads, nothing to buy, and no way to reach the open web. The app sends us nothing, not even crash reports. We never sell or share data with anyone.

Who we are

ABC Learning is made and published by Utsav Patel (“we”, “us”), an independent developer. This policy covers the ABC Learning app and the pages served from erbittuu-studio.web.app. Questions go to utsavhacker@gmail.com.

What stays on the device

Everything about how a child uses the app:

  • Progress and preferences. Which letters and quizzes have been completed, the chosen theme, and app settings are stored on the device.
  • Downloaded content. The learning packs (letters, quizzes, images) the app fetches on first launch are kept on the device so it works offline afterwards. This is the same content every user downloads — it is not personalised to any one child. Words and letters are spoken using iOS's own on-device text-to-speech; no audio is downloaded or recorded.

What we do receive

The app sends us nothing. It has no crash reporter, no analytics and no advertising service of any kind. The only outside request it makes is to download the learning packs, described next.

Serving the content

On first launch, and occasionally afterwards to check for new content, the app requests files from raw.githubusercontent.com, where GitHub, Inc. hosts them. Like any web server, GitHub logs those requests, including the IP address that made them, and retains those logs under GitHub’s own privacy statement. We do not use them to build any profile of a user.

What we never collect

Tracking, advertising and selling data

We do not track users across apps or websites, and we do not allow anyone else to. There is no advertising SDK in ABC Learning, no in-app purchase, and no analytics partner of any kind. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising — under the CCPA/CPRA or under any other law.

Children

ABC Learning is made for young children and is built so there is nothing for a child to give away: no account, no sign-in, no name to enter, no chat, no comments, no user-to-user contact, no links out to the web, and no advertising. Anything that could change a setting or leave the app is behind a parental gate — a simple task a young child cannot complete on their own — so a child cannot wander into a browser, a store listing, or a device setting by accident.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age. The only thing that leaves the device is the request for the learning packs, which carries no name and nothing a child did in the app. If you are a parent or guardian and have a question about data on a device, write to us at utsavhacker@gmail.com.

How long it is kept

GitHub's server logs follow GitHub's own retention schedule. Progress, preferences and downloaded content are kept on the device until the app is deleted or its data is cleared — we hold no copy to delete.

Who else is involved

GitHub, Inc. hosts the downloadable content, under GitHub's own terms. Their handling of that data is described in the GitHub Privacy Statement. Nobody else receives anything.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — the EU and UK under the GDPR, California under the CCPA/CPRA, and comparable laws elsewhere — you may have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to it being processed, or to receive a copy. Because we hold nothing that identifies a person, there is usually nothing to send back; where a request can be acted on, we act on it free of charge and within 30 days. Write to utsavhacker@gmail.com.

Security

Everything the app fetches is fetched over HTTPS. A child's progress sits in the app's own sandbox on the device, protected by iOS. No system is perfect, but there is very little here to lose: we hold no accounts, no passwords and no personal data.

Changes

If this policy changes we will post the new version on this page and move the date at the top. A change that materially affects what is collected will also be described in the app's release notes on the App Store.
